At the age of only fifteen, Václav Hudeček debuted in London with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and from then on the congenial artist has adorned every concert with his communicative way of performance in which he joins the technical excellence with an emotionally rich tone and joy of playing. Works by old Czech masters have found a prominent place in his rich repertory, among them the violin concerto by the Classicist Franz Benda. Another soloist of tonight’s concert is the outstanding Czech viola player Kristina Nouzovská Fialová, who follows an inspiring musicians’ tradition of her family. Apart from Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante she gladly accepted the offer to study the work by the Slovak composer Vladimír Godár.
