Some time ago, on the occasion of the premiere of the film Il Boemo, Simona Houda Šaturová was asked about the difference in interpretation between Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and his Czech contemporary Josef Mysliveček. “The aesthetics of interpreting both composers are really close, I would even say that there is no room for differentiation between Mozart and Mysliveček in vocal approach. A few years ago, I had the opportunity to record works of both composers, selecting pieces from the same decade when Mysliveček was at the peak of his creativity and Mozart was just beginning. It was an incredibly interesting comparison. Since then, I have the impression that Mozart essentially continued and developed Mysliveček’s contribution.” You can see for yourself how soprano Šaturová interprets the works of these mentioned composers with warmth and style at the Advent concert. The Slovak Chamber Orchestra will try to evoke the impression of a classical court orchestra.
