CEO of the Slovak Philharmonic announces auditions for the position of
violinist in the Slovak Chamber Orchestra
Base salary € 1230 (Due to Contestant’s Professional Experience)
Auditions will be held at the Slovak Philharmonic Small Hall, Medená 3, 816 01 Bratislava.
on April 1st, 2025 (Tuesday) at 10.00 AM
Required musical education: University degree in the relevant field
Detailed conditions of the auditions are published on the Slovak Philharmonic website.
Invitations for the auditions including excerpts from orchestral parts will be sent via email or postal service (on demand).

Audition requirements for the position of violinist
1. J. S. Bach
– slow movement from one of the sonatas/partitas for solo violin:
BWV 1001 – 1006
2. W. A. Mozart
– first movement with cadenza from one of the following concertos:
G major, K. 216
D major, K. 218
A major, K. 219
3.
first movement from a romantic violin concerto or a comparable concertante work
4.
excerpts from orchestral parts – will be sent to the invited audition participants
The Slovak Philharmonic will provide candidates with an accompanist (piano tuning 442); candidates can also arrange their piano accompaniment at their own expense.
Sight Reading (A Prima vista) is not required.
